Greek: μυστηριον [mustêrion] (Noun Neuter). A hidden thing. Secret, mystery.

μυστηριον [mustêrion] appears 28 times in the NT:


(1) Matthew 13: 11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. - τα μυστηρια [ta mustêria] Accus. pl.

(2) Mark 4: 11
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables: - το μυστηριον [to mustêrion] Accus. sing.

(3) Luke 8: 10
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. - τα μυστηρια [ta mustêria] Accus. pl.

(4) Romans 11: 25
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. - το μυστηριον [tomustêrion] Accus. sing.
