Longanimity


Greek: μακροθυμια [makrothumia] (Noun feminine). Longanimity, long-suffering, patience.

μακροθυμια [makrothumia] appears 14 times in the NT:


(1) Romans 2: 4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? - της μακροθυμιας [tês makrothumias] Gen. sing.

(2) Romans 9: 22
